Difference between comm intercomm and intracomm

Hi,

I am trying to use MPI in c++ but I am a bit wondering about the
communicator differences. Especially when it comes to creating groups and
communicators. Could somebody help me out, I did not directly find
something use full on mpi-forum.

Okay I appologize for this post, there are whole chapters written about
these things in the MPI-1 standard. All of a sudden, life makes sense ...
